PHOTO COLLAGE

"You're going to go through tough times - that's life. But I say, 'Nothing happens to you, it happens for you.' See the positive in negative events." - Joel Osteen

No one could ever remember seeing Mickey angry; he didn't mind whatever anyone said, or did to him. Even his teachers admired his good disposition, which was so unusual. One afternoon he invited his favourite teacher, Mr. Anthony, to tea. When they had finished, Mickey showed him around. When Mickey opened his bedroom door, the teacher froze: the huge far wall was a unique collage of colours and shapes. The loveliest decoration he'd ever seen. Mickey started to explain, "Some people think I never think badly of anyone, or that nothing bothers me, and that I never want to insult anyone, but that's not true at all." He continued, "I'm like anyone else. Years ago, with the help of my parents, I started a small collage. I could use any kind of material and colour for it. With every little piece I stuck on, I added some bad thought or act."

Mr. Anthony looked closely at the wall, in each of the small pieces he could read, in tiny letters, 'fool', 'idiot', 'pain', 'bore', et cetera. "This is how I started turning all my bad times into an opportunity to add to my collage. Now, I like the collage so much that, each time someone makes me angry, I couldn't be happier. They've given me a new piece for my work of art."

ALPHABETS OF WISDOM 2

"...and the reason the windshield is large and the rear view mirror small is because your past is not near as important as what's in your future." - Joel Osteen

Most people tend to drive forward, looking back and this usually results in casualties. It's not supposed to be so. We continue "Alphabets of Wisdom" from yesterday, beginning with letter G, today.

G: GROW - Leave the childhood mannerisms and monsters behind. They can no longer benefit, hurt you or stand in your way.

H: HOPE - Hope for the best as you strive to move ahead. Remember that ANYTHING is POSSIBLE as long as you remain dedicated and determined.

I: IGNORE - Ignore the negative voices: inside your head and around your life. Focus on your goals and remember that your past successes, are only a tiny aspect of what the future holds.

JETTISON THAT BRANCH NOW!

"Life begins at the end of your comfort zone." - Neale Donald Walsch

Cut That Branch
Many people in life today will remain unresponsive to challenges, or nonchalant about challenges that'll launch them into destiny, because they're resting on their oars. Many as a result of past disappointments, failures or difficulties. In 2015, God will push, nudge and even shove things, people or circumstances just to make you advance. In some cases He - God - might literally pull the rug from under your feet.

A king received the gift of two magnificent falcons. They were a pair of hunting birds, the most beautiful he'd ever seen. He gave the precious birds to someone to be trained. After a long while, the king was informed that one of the birds was refusing to fly. As a matter of fact, it hadn't moved from its branch since it arrived the palace. The king summoned wise men from all the land to tend to the falcon, yet none could make the bird fly. The next day, the king looking through the palace window, realized that the bird still hadn't moved an inch. "I should get someone familiar with the countryside to understand the nature of this problem." He said to himself. "Go and get a farmer." He ordered. The next

HE'S GOT BIGGER JAWS

"If you can see the invisible, God will do the impossible." - Joel Osteen

W4W

A young army officer was constantly being ridiculed by his colleagues and superiors for his faith. His captain decided to humiliate him one of those days, before the troops. "Hey, go park that Jeep in the front." The captain barked at him. "I cannot drive, sir!" Was the calm reply. "Then ask your God, for driving lessons." He retorted. "Show us that He exists." Obediently, he took the key and prayed as he walked toward the vehicle. Somehow, he entered the vehicle and parked it exactly as He was told. "Thank you God." He muttered as he walked back: to his surprise his captain, with the others were on their knees. Weeping. "We want to serve your God!" They said, amidst sobs. Astonished, he asked to know what happened. The captain knew that, it was IMPOSSIBLE for anyone to drive a car without an engine.

Sometimes it's usual to think of impossibility when we are faced with certain tasks. We should know God sees differently. There was a point in my life where, I was about to do something, and after my calculations I realized I was incapable of doing it. Just then, I heard in my spirit, "I want you to bite more than you can chew." Amazed, I asked "Why?" Then I got a shocking answer that I'll never forget. "...because, I have bigger jaws to chew for you." was God's reply.
