GOAL SETTING

"Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into visible." - Anthony Robbins

Goal Setting
Usually in the beginning of a new year, lots of people make New Year resolutions. Interestingly, a study was carried out and it revealed that:
25 percent of people abandon their New Year’s resolutions after one week.
60 percent of people abandon them within six months. (The average person makes the same New Year’s resolution ten separate times without success.)
Even after a heart attack, only 14 percent of patients make any lasting changes around eating or exercise.
This is how the story goes with resolutions. The alternative is Goal Setting. I have long understood that Goals setting is an amazing principle that facilitates growth on steady and consistent basis in life.

One wise man gave an illustration and said “Say you were to travel from wherever you are to Calgary. That’s the goal and you had never been there before. As you start in the direction (You'd not even know what direction to start, without first knowing where you are then, figuring where you want to go) and begin driving, it won’t be long before you come to a fork in the road (Just like life right, you start going in this direction and opportunities arise and you have to decide) you ether take the Hope/Princeton turn off or continue on the #1. Well with out a map you will end up guessing instead of looking at the map and saying, this is the route I want to take. That’s not too bad, because you will still get there by going the Hope/Princeton it will just take to hours, longer but when you get to Kamloops and you keep going straight instead of

GOD'S CHOICE

"Chains do not hold a marriage together. It is threads, hundreds of tiny threads, which sew people together through the years." – Simone Signoret

God's Choice
Marriage is a beautiful thing, and deciding who to marry is a most important decision to ever make. The primary reason for marriage should be a conviction that that person's God’s choice: not just a good choice. In the quest for a spouse, sometimes nearly all available options will appear right in some way. Therefore, since you can't end up with all, there comes the need to allow for God's desire for you, and He can use any situation, or circumstance to show you that one. "Does God want you to remain single, or not?" That's an important question to first consider.

In 2000, 7 year old Tyrel Wolfe put together a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child. It was sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse, a christian organization. The shoebox went to a little Filipina, Joana at a suburb of Manila. The box had the photo of a little boy in a Cowboy's outfit holding a lariat. The boy had included his name and address, Joana wrote to say how the box impacted her, but he never received the letter.

HE'S GOT BIGGER JAWS

"If you can see the invisible, God will do the impossible." - Joel Osteen

W4W

A young army officer was constantly being ridiculed by his colleagues and superiors for his faith. His captain decided to humiliate him one of those days, before the troops. "Hey, go park that Jeep in the front." The captain barked at him. "I cannot drive, sir!" Was the calm reply. "Then ask your God, for driving lessons." He retorted. "Show us that He exists." Obediently, he took the key and prayed as he walked toward the vehicle. Somehow, he entered the vehicle and parked it exactly as He was told. "Thank you God." He muttered as he walked back: to his surprise his captain, with the others were on their knees. Weeping. "We want to serve your God!" They said, amidst sobs. Astonished, he asked to know what happened. The captain knew that, it was IMPOSSIBLE for anyone to drive a car without an engine.

Sometimes it's usual to think of impossibility when we are faced with certain tasks. We should know God sees differently. There was a point in my life where, I was about to do something, and after my calculations I realized I was incapable of doing it. Just then, I heard in my spirit, "I want you to bite more than you can chew." Amazed, I asked "Why?" Then I got a shocking answer that I'll never forget. "...because, I have bigger jaws to chew for you." was God's reply.

ANOTHER CHANCE II

"Anything in life worth having, takes work." - Unknown

Another Chance II
Archie is so excited it's another New Year. It's time for planning. It's time to think of things to do - resolutions, you call them - a fancy word for goals, that people make a list of to help uplift their souls. With resolutions, one can leave the past behind; and put aside mistakes for greater success. Archie loved to think ahead; but somehow as each year went by, his goals slipped from his mind. He did just what he planned, but as the time zoomed on, his resolutions failed - he made too many, some too hard to achieve. Then he forgot because he lost his goal sheet too. This year would be different. He didn't want to fail, he'd prevail this time. He set his mind to making resolutions he would keep. This year he'll chose a few - the very important ones. He'd post them where they would always be seen. He made a form, wrote his goals, and taped it to his bathroom mirror, so he'd never lose it. Each time he looks into the mirror, his goals will always be there to read.

Someone said, if you continue to do the same things, you'll continue to get the same results - whether good or bad. Yes, it's another new year, are you amongst those who achieved their goals completely, partially or not at all? Whatever category you belong understand that there's ALWAYS room for improvement. Why don't you try tweaking your

ANOTHER CHANCE

"Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right." - Oprah Winfrey

Happy New Year!
Hurray! It's another New Years' day. What a miraculous feat. Isn’t it nice to know that the new year is a new day with no mistakes in it yet? Like a new notebook - after you finished up an old one - nothing written yet. Every page waiting for you to scribble your desires...it's up to you what to scribble. You could decide to scribble a story, or paint the most beautiful picture ever painted.

As millions of God's people celebrate the entrance of another year; many are grinning from ear to ear because they ticked off every goal on their list of achievements they set for themselves in 2014. Others, are biting their fingers for that last contract that would have made 2014 complete. While still some others, looking back can't seem to find one thing to be grateful for, apart from being alive. Everything on their 2014 list still
