DON'T SULK

"You have to learn to move on in life without certain people, if they are meant to be in your life they'll catch up with you" - Anonymous

Joe and Sue, were love birds...there was so much love between them that could fill the whole world. Joe was sure that he'd heard God speak clearly to him about Sue; she was definitely his wife. Sue, had asked God for a husband and He'd told her to wait a certain number of years and Joe came in the nick of time. At the time that period elapsed. This was a match made in heaven.

All along Joe, had never stopped imagining living and growing old with Sue. She was his "everything", loved her with all his might. Didn't put anyone else above her. Joe at the time had just finished youth service and didn't have a good job. His job was barely enough for him to survive himself. He did all he could to survive, had extra jobs and took responsibility of Sue's job applications. He had her email password, she'd given it to him. They continued like this for a while. Until this morning Joe was cleaning up her mailbox; deleting old emails. He wasn't prepared for what he saw next as he deleted one more message.

"How's your new boy friend, Abas?", was what he saw next. In fraction of a second, Joe became feverish. He could hardly click the mouse button that had got him here in the first place. Sue's elder sister had never liked Joe; according to history he(Joe) reminded her of her husband who eloped with another woman. She did all she could to break Joe up with her sister, Sue. She disrespected and paid no attention to Joe except she needed help that only Joe could render. He didn't bother because Sue, wasn't concerned either. For love he took all the bad treat in good faith.

Many thoughts flashed through his mind. Had Sue, started seeing someone else? Was she playing along or just allowing her sister do her thing why she was uninterested?
His curiosity was satisfied when he went back to Sue's inbox and for the first time realized so many messages from "Abas". He read the messages and the more he did, the deeper he felt a knife pierce into his heart. Hot tears streamed down his eyes. He was numb! He felt so rejected and hurt. He'd lost Sue!

Have you ever loved someone to the point where you could see them everywhere. In your dreams, on the street, in your food, everywhere? And all of a sudden you hear from somewhere that they were with someone else and then you find out it's true.

That's the height of rejection and heartbreak and statistics show that this is what makes many people attempt and even commit suicide, or murder. The feeling can only be imagined than experienced.

I do not know who it is I'm talking to this morning, but the word for you is this, "for everyone one person that walked out of your life, there's a million more, waiting for an opportunity to enter". For every one person that rejected you, there's a million more dying to accept you". It's painful but the word for today is "Don't sulk". Walk tall and see those willing to die for you.
