"Transformation is a process, and as life happens there are tons of ups
and downs. It's a journey of discovery - there are moments on mountain
tops and moments in deep valleys of despair." - Rick Warren
Change is the only permanent thing. Processes abound everywhere; graduation is not an end but a commencement of something more laudable. More responsibility. However, every change initiates a movement to another phase.
In pregnancy, the process continues from fertilization to conception with several changes along the line. These changes cause terrible biological and physical discomfort to the mother: It is an uncomfortable experience. Understand that, the pain the mother goes through during pregnancy is nothing compared to that she experiences on the day of delivery. Not at all. This pain isn't meant to kill her, but to produce something new. If the developing foetus doesn't go through all the required processes it comes out deformed. The same way we become deformed if we don't go through the complete process of refining.
As gold, we go through terrible physical, emotional, financial, psychological - all kinds - pain in our refining process. From the Breaking, to the Crucible, to removal of the Dross, to going through the Heat, the Purification and finally the Reflection. These processes have a specific work they're expected to perfect in us. The pain at each stage will definitely not be the same
Many times during the process we would encounter pain so much that we would almost give up. We' weep, curse or even plan on committing suicide, but the truth is, until the process is complete the pain won't stop. Until the baby is fully formed the stomach will not stop bulging. This process is not meant to kill us, but to grow us. Your best days aren't behind, they are ahead of you. Someone said once, "People who give up in life didn't realize how close they were to success when they gave up." It's not time to give up. It's time to hold on, the finish line is just up ahead.
