GOOD SAMARITAN

"Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does." - William James

A man called up the local armoury to get the status of the weapons and vehicles. "We've got 3 Jeeps, 4 Tanks, 500 rifles, and a ton of ammo. Oh, we also have two Cadillacs for the fat generals." Replied the private. There was silence, then "Private, do you know who I am?" "No." "I'm General Westin." "General, do you know who I am?" "No." "See you later, fatty."

Dr. Seuss said, "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better..." Anonymity isn't only for mischief, but lofty acts. Jean Oberlin in 18th century, traveling in winter was caught in a severe snowstorm. He lost his way in the blowing snow and feared freezing to death. In despair, he sat not knowing where to go. A man came to his rescue, took Oberlin to the next village and made sure he would be cared for.
