WHAT KILLED THEM?

"The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear." - Nelson Mandela

Death was walking towards a city one morning someone asked, "What are you going to do?"
"I'm going to take 100 people," Death replied.

"That's horrible!" the man said.

"That's the way it is. That's what I do." Death replied.

So the man hurriedly warned everyone he could about Death's plan. As evening fell, he met Death again. "You told me you were going to take 100 people," the man said. "Why did 1,000 die?"

"I kept my word," Death responded. "I only took 100 people. Fear killed the others."

It is not a sin to feel fear. Fear is a normal emotion as humans that we have to constantly contend with. Being afraid doesn't make you a sinner it normal. However, it becomes abnormal when you allow it to determine your decisions and affect your life. God's Word is so viable that it contains a "Fear Not'", for everyday fearful situation you encounter daily. Why? It's because God knows you'd have reasons to be afraid in your daily walk with Him. Fear kills faster than death itself. Do not allow fear to steal your beautiful life from you.

Repeatedly in the scripture we see varying number of situations where God tells His people to Fear Not. Joshua, Gideon and a host of other patriarchs experienced the emotion of fear. But God assured them of His presence in their situations. To walk and work successfully with God, we must be able to in the face of fear, act in faith. Remember, He has not given us the spirit of fear, and without faith it is impossible to please God! Faith is the opposite of fear, and it is this spirit that God has given us. The scriptures tell us that, "He has dealt to EVERY MAN the measure of faith." I come against every spirit of fear in your life today in Jesus name.
