IS KNOWLEDGE TRULY POWER?

“knowledge of what is, does not directly open the door directly to what should be.” - Albert Einstein

I am certain that you have heard the saying that ''knowledge is power'' over and over again, the only thing I doubt is if you have ever taken some time to examine the viability of this statement, for those of you who have then this is a reminder, for the rest of us who have not this is certainly food for meditation. isn't it interesting that we live in an age called the knowledge transfer age, in fact there has been no time in history that knowledge has been more prevalent, one survey states that at the speed which information moves if you read 24 hours a day, from age 21 to 70, and retained all you read, you would still be several years behind when you finished.

Burghardt DuBois, the great black educator, sociologist, and historian, upon completion of studies at Fisk, Harvard and the University of Berlin, was convinced that change in the condition of the American black could be effected by careful scientific investigations into the truth about the black in America. So he proceeded. His research was flawless and his graphs and charts impeccable. After waiting several years and hearing not the slightest stir of reform, Dr. DuBois had to accept the truth about Truth: knowledge being available does not mean it will be appropriated.

it certainly seems that the more the knowledge available the more people veer into the wrong paths in life. Truth be told, knowledge is not power. What produces power is actually the application of knowledge. imagine if u actually applied not a 100%, that would be asking too much, but only 30% of the things you already know, imagine what results you would achieve. I dare you to move from the realm of knowledge only to the place of actual power, the place of application.
