THE MISSING NOTE

"Expectation is the mother of all frustration." - Antonio Banderas

A great man once said that, "that thing that irritates you, is what you were made to change, or correct." To a very large extent, I believe in that statement because I have realized that we all don't get irritated or frustrated, or even weep over the same things. Very true, I must add.

It is said of one of the famous composers that he had a rebellious son who used to come in late at night after his father and mother had gone to bed. And before going to his own room, he would go to his father's piano and slowly, as well as loudly, play a simple scale, all but the final note. Then leaving the scale uncompleted, he would retire to his room. Meanwhile the father, hearing the scale minus the final note, would writhe on his bed, his mind unable to relax because the scale was unresolved. Finally, in consternation, he would stumble down the stairs and hit the previously un-struck note. Only then would his mind surrender to sleep once again.

There's a certain irritation you're feeling at the moment, and the reason could most definitely be because there's

a note God wants you to complete. It's a responsibility. This son's incomplete note always made his father uncomfortable; this is the same way your generation is, until God sent you here. The truth is, you won't find peace until you do that thing. The task could be in your economy, office, nation, family or even on your street. Find out what it is...and complete it.

Let us pray: Father, help me identify that note I'm supposed to complete, in Jesus name.
