Wisdom Nugget: "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he..."

Our perspective of certain circumstances is enough to either motivate or demoralize us or anyone close to us for that matter.
The aforementioned nugget can be paraphrased to mean "what you think about a situation is how it turns out to be". If you think it is favourable, it'll turn out favourable, but if you don't think it is, then it won't. In other words, it means that two people going through the same situation can both end up having different results depending on what they believe and how they see it. Ever heard the saying, "the grass looks greener on the other side"? I dare say that you can actually make the grass on your side greener, by simply thinking and believing it is.
One day, a very wealthy man took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live. They spent a couple of days andnights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family. On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?" "It was great, Dad." "Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked. "Oh yeah," said the son. "So, tell me, what did you learn from, the trip?" asked the father. The son answered "first, I saw that we have one dog and they had four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon, daddy, continued the kid, "We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight. "We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs. "We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them." The boy's father was speechless. Then his son added, "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are."
How do you consider your life's circumstances? How do you see the obstacles life puts in your path? Do you see them as stepping stones or stumbling blocks? Are they for your promotion or do you think that they are meant to kill you? Remember these words of wisdom: "A fool's mouth is his ruin. His lips are a trap to his soul."
We should "Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion..."
Seeing life's situations differently—not just looking at the surface—will change your view of your circumstances. Suddenly, things will seem clearer than you've ever seen before. This hapens because you stopped looking through the eyes of fear, but have started seeing with the eyes of faith. You'll start to see differently when you stop looking with your negative expectations.
