Every man is an accumulation of experiences; pleasant, or unpleasant.
We often witness in life the good, the bad and the ugly situations.
Sometimes, more often than not we allow our minds to be set, and we
refuse to change. Some, unaware that change is possible, while many
others are unaware of the existence of something called change. For the
most part some of us have believed the lie that "what you don't know
won't kill you", when in actual fact its like this "what you don't know
will kill you quickly". In the law court they say that ignorance is not
an excuse. Just like a child will be burnt badly even though it doesn't
know fire burns.
As a man was walking past the elephants at a circus, he was amazed at what he saw. He was confused by the fact that these huge creatures were being held only by a small rope tied to their foot. No chains, no cages. These elephants could, at anytime, break away from their bonds if they wanted, but for some reason, they did not. Confused and puzzled he hailed the trainer nearby and asked why the elephants just stood there and made no attempt to get away.
“Well,” the trainer said, “when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and at that age it’s enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they NEVER TRY to break free.” The man was amazed. These animals could at any time break free from their bonds but because they believed they couldn’t, and yes they couldn't; they were stuck right where they were.
Like the elephants, many of us are going through life hanging onto a notion that we cannot do something, simply because we failed at it once before. They NEVER TRY. They forget that, failing is part of learning; we don't give up on a child who falls while learning to walk. Why then do you give up the struggles of life? Like the little ropes that held the elephants for so long, we have allowed our unpleasant experiences to make us numb to the possibility of breaking free just by moving our feet a little further and harder.
This is the day of salvation. We have been given another day, TODAY, to realize that there are no limitations anywhere, except the ones we create in our own minds. Yes, our mind is a battlefield, with emotions, faulty beliefs and fear raging. But understand, that you have the victory. We are not fighting for victory, but from victory.

This is the day of salvation. Yank that
rope off of your feet.
