"A broken relationship, is better than a broken marriage." - Unknown
Someone, had an uncomfortably unpleasant experience at a recent wedding
ceremony. Everything seemed to be going as planned until that time,
where the minister asked the all-important question of the bride, "Do
you take so-and-so to be your lawfully wedded husband?" Just then, for
some unknown reason, there was an incredibly long and unbelievably
awkward silence. No one, at the time, knew for sure what was going on in
the bride's head: was she absent minded, or was she actually
contemplating how she wanted to answer. Not being a close friend, this
witness didn't get to find out the cause for this bride's delay.
What a nerve wrecking experience that would've been for everyone at the wedding: to families of the couple, but especially to the groom. The scenario might appear like a scene from a Hollywood movie, but it's not. Someone said, "a broken relationship is better than a broken marriage." What if we consider our decisions, and
opportunities. Do you rush into things without properly thinking, and later regret? It might not be a marital relationship. It could be a business deal
No groom deserves a hesitant bride on his wedding. Have you taken up a job, business or venture that were rushed into? Did you talk to God about signing the deal? Or are you about to sign it, but you're like the bride, unsure or lost in thought? Someone reading this is about to make a serious commitment. I implore you, seek God's face before you make that commitment. To avoid any future regrets.
