MAYBE AN ELEPHANT

"I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it." - Clint Eastwood

A class teacher asks her students to name an animal beginning with an "E." One notorious student answers, "Elephant." Impressed, this time by the boys response - since he was known to be a terrible student - she asks again. This time, for an animal that begins with a "T." The same boy replies, "Two Elephants." Without being surprised, she teacher sends the boy out of the class for bad behaviour. Then she asks again, this time for an animal beginning with "M." The same boy shouts from outside the class: "Maybe an Elephant!"

As hilarious as this story might seem, it's interesting to note that, this, is how the devil disturbs us. Having been dismissed from a life, he goes a little distance lurking around. Hoping to return. We have to be strict in our resolve to get rid of him, and his influence: if we are to have a peaceful life on earth, as Christians. If he's in your life, troubles are inevitable. When he's out, he schemes more. To hold us in captivity as he wills.

The devil will not leave anyone free. He will still hang around waiting to get back and cause more havoc. We are advised to flee every appearance of evil. Why? These evils open the door to the devil. Are you battling with a habit: smoking, T.V addiction, pornography, fornication, gossip, stealing or lying. Don't hang around people or situations that make you fall. Flee, because they devil is just outside the door.
