THE GIFT OF A DAY (21): HOW VALUABLE?

 

Do you know that our stories and history don't take more than a day to change? Have you ever sat down to think about how; you see a "single" friend today and the following day he's become "husband"? Change don't take a million years, it just takes only a single day.

Each day carries with it every ingredient necessary for changing our lives as it comes. The individual who decides to "while away" his time doesn't have a different day from the one who decides consciously to "maximize" his. Today is as valuable as any other.

A speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $500 Note. In the room with his audience, he asked, "who would like this $500?" Hands went up. He said, "I am
going to give this note to one of you, but first let me do this." He rumpled the note up in his closed fist. Then asked, "who still wants it?" Still, the hands were up in the air. "Well, what if I do this?" He replied and the dropped it on the ground as he began to trample it underfoot with his shoe. He picked it up now, all rumpled and dirty. "Who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air. "Friends, you all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because
it did not decrease in value. It's still worth $ 500".

Many times we drop, rumple and grind into the dirt opportunities, we encounter daily. No matter what happens or what you refuse to make happen in your day, each day is as valuable as any other day.

Try to never let yesterday's disappointments, challenges and discouragement stop you from maximizing today's value; which provides hope for tomorrow.
