THE GIFT OF MONEY 19; DEVELOP A SAVINGS CULTURE 2

“Next to God the creator, the best person there is to pay before anyone else is yourself” – Uka Francis

To spend all you have all the time is poverty mentality. The poor save what is left after spending, while the rich spend what is left after saving.

One of the non-negotiable habits of the rich is compulsive saving. Many of us are very good at paying - we pay our tailors, cobblers, teachers, and everyone else but ourselves. This kind of trend makes wealth creation a dream forever.

In my little town, years ago nothing surprising ever used to happen; but it did one day, when a little girl and her brother went door to door asking for money - when everyone knew they had very wealthy parents. She knocked at our door and my mother opened, and she asked for money, surprised I replied,

"why, your parents have so much money?", turning to me she said,

"My mother advised me to save, so I was wondering if you guys had any monies you didn't want to save."

Benjamin Franklin declared once, that "beware of little expenses. A small leak will sink a great ship”

Please, understand that for every blessing there's a seed part, and a bread part. The bread is for consumption. While the seed is for cultivation - never eat your seed. It was Joe Moore who recognized that, “It’s difficult to save money when your neighbours keep buying things you can’t afford.” If you would want to be wealthy, think of saving as well, while you're getting.
